Frequently Asked Questions
We transcribe and process all of the audio on our own servers, so no third party has access to this data. And the raw audio is only used for getting the transcription, then it is deleted as the audio stream progresses.
Yes - while viewing any past session, you can delete the session. This will permanently delete the transcriptions and recommendations for that session.
Our servers are not robust enough to keep up with arbitrary demand, so we will accept people off of the waitlist at the rate of which our servers can support them.
The fully-automatic recommendations that we currently support are answers to asked questions and references to academic literature. You can also press "Enter" at any time during the session, and we will do our best to guess what you need. Finally, you can manually search for something using the search bar.
We pull results from the general web and from ArXiv.
With Instinfo, multiple people can join a session if the creator of the session shares the session ID. In presentation mode, only the audio from the session owner is transcribed and processed - all other members of the session are forced to be muted. This is useful in places like classrooms where you only want to capture the audio from the presenter (i.e., the teacher). In community mode, all members of a session can unmute and speak if they like.
